New Believer’s Fellowship

Any new believer that has been saved or baptized 3 years or less is invited to attend the New Believer’s Fellowship on the first Tuesday of each month from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.  The next meeting is Sept. 7 in the Fellowship Hall.  There will be a devotion with discussion and lots of fellowship.

Prayer at CIC

Prayer is very important for our church to be all God wants it to be.  There are now two opportunities each week for you to join with us in prayer:  Sundays 6:00-6:30 pm and Thursdays 12:00-12:30 pm.  Please make an effort to be at one of these meetings if possible.  (Matthew 18:20)

Papa John’s

If you order a Papa John’s pizza from any Southern Indiana location, please save the receipt and turn it in to Debbie Dockter.  Papa John’s will give 10% back to our Kids for Christ ministry each month.

Bad Girls of the Bible

The Women’s Bible Study is currently studying Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs.  All women are invited to attend this study at 10:00 am in room ED105.

Let Liberty Ring

Mike Becht and Bryan Wickens (from ROCK – Reclaim Our Culture Kentuckiana) are excited to announce that Let Liberty Ring will be on 94.7 WFIA FM and 900 WFIA AM on the Salem Radio Network, daily from 2-3 p.m.! A daily radio outreach is an opportunity that rarely comes along and will allow greater impact with the ability to reach even more listeners. Mike and Bryan look forward to having you join them every day from 2-3 p.m. - don't miss it!
Tune in to hear how what is happening locally, regionally and around
the nation impacts you right here at home. And find out what YOU can do to make a real difference where you live, work and raise your families!

CIC Maintenance List

Have you noticed something at CIC that needs to be repaired?  If you see something that needs to be done, please write it down on the new Maintenance List located in the Information Center.  The Sunday night crew will check this list weekly, so there’s no need to track someone down to tell them about a problem, just write it on the form.

Sermon Recordings Available

Audio cassette tapes or CDs of individual sermons or sermon series are available free by completing the sermon tape or CD request and placing it in the request box at the Information Center.

Aluminum cans

Did you know that CIC collects aluminum cans to recycle?  The proceeds go to the Awana program.  Please bring your cans in a garbage bag and place them in the bin behind the garage.  Thanks for your help!

Deacons needed

At the annual business meeting, Pastor Brian asked the congregation to be in prayer about seeking out deacons from our midst.  Please stop by the Information Center to get the information on what he would like for each of us to do concerning this.

Time Capsule Items

Please bring items for the time capsule by Oct. 31.  Kids are invited to bring a handprint or something they’ve made or drawn as well.

Mommy Group

Stay at home moms of preschool age and younger children will be getting together on the first Thursday of each month.

Exterior services committee

The Exterior Services Committee is looking for more volunteers.  Their committee has dwindled down in size.  If you would like to help pull weeds, weed eat, clear snow off sidewalks, etc., please see Jimmy Long ASAP.

Did you know?
On the first and second Thursday of the month, members of CIC visit the residents of the Sellersburg Health & Rehabilitation Center (SHARC) at 6:30 pm. There is inspirational singing and a devotional message. We would love for you to join us!

Cell phones for soldiers

The Cell Phones for Soldiers program was started in April 2004 by 13-year-old Brittany Bergquist and her 12-year-old brother Robbie of Norwell, Massachusetts.

Robbie and Brittany's goal is to help our soldiers serving overseas call home. They hope to provide as many soldiers as possible with prepaid calling cards. Through generous donations and the recycling of used cell phones, Robbie and Brittany have already distributed thousands of calling cards to soldiers around the globe.

So if you have old cell phones lying around your house, bring them to CIC and we will mail them for you, or visit www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com to print a pre-paid shipping label to send it in.
