Pray for the new Christians

What a revival!! There were over 30 people who received Jesus Christ as their Savior or re-dedicated their lives to Christ during the revival.  Please keep them in your prayers.  If you know one of them personally, please be an encouragement to them.

Baby Dedication next Sunday

In honor of Sanctity of Life Sunday, we will be having a baby dedication on January 22 during the morning worship service.  If you would like to dedicate your baby or child, please see Joshua Spencer or Debbie Dockter.

Women’s Bible Study

The Women’s Bible Study is currently studying Liz Curtis Higgs’ Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible.

If you would like to join the study, please see Dee Haymaker to order a book.  The study meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am.

Through the Bible

Join us on Wednesday nights forThrough the Bible, a study with Pastor Brian that starts in Genesis and goes through each book until we reach the end of Revelation.  It’s a great way to see how the Bible all comes together.  There will be praise and worship to get things started.  Come join us for a mid-week spiritual pick-me-up!

Prayer at CIC

Prayer is very important for our church to be all God wants it to be.  There are now two opportunities each week for you to join with us in prayer:  Sundays at 6:00 pm and Thursdays at 12:00 pm.  Please make an effort to be at one of these meetings if possible.  (Matthew 18:20)

PRAY TODAY!

Looking for an effective way to pray for the world? Go to www.operationworld and click on “pray today.” Each day, the website features a different nation with facts about the country’s geography, people and prayer needs. This is a wonderful prayer tool for adults and can be used by parents to teach children about the prayer needs of the world.

Aluminum cans

Did you know that CIC collects aluminum cans to recycle?  The proceeds go to the Awana program.  Please bring your cans in a garbage bag and place them in the bin behind the garage.  Thanks for your help!

Inclement Weather procedures

That time of year is upon us when we have the possibility of having to cancel church due to inclement weather.  There are 4 ways to check to see if church has been cancelled:  watch WAVE 3 TV or check WAVE3.com, listen to WHAS Radio (840 on the AM dial), check CIC’s Facebook page, or call 293-4053 for a recorded message.
