CIC Kids News, Notes, and Nuggets

We want to encourage each family to get their kids here for Life Groups at 9:30 each Sunday Morning. Small groups are wonderful for all ages and children really seem to thrive in that setting. Direct questions to teachers and bonding with kids their own age provides numerous opportunities. Please see Joshua Spencer or Vicky Denney for more information.

Awana on Sunday Nights                       

This year our Awana program has started very strong. We have had around 60 folks here three of the first four weeks. New Clubbers as well as Leaders has been very exciting to see.

 

Awana really challenges the kids to know God and His Word more and more each week. Keep bringing your clubbers each week and if you haven’t been yet bring your children that are between the ages of two and 5th grade at 6:00 on Sunday nights to try it out.

 

Take the Time

I need not remind you how short and busy life is. First diapers, then drivers license, and before you know it your child is off to college or raising a family of their own.

 
With each day, take the time to embrace your little ones, share a laugh or a few tears. Life’s moments are all around us and if we don’t take the time with them, they will fill that time with something else.

 Trunk or Treat

Traditional door to door trick or treating seems to be a thing of the past. Last year as a church we participated in the “Trunk or Treat” that the city of Charlestown put on. We passed out candy and information about our church.

This year we are not going to hand out anything, but want to make sure everyone knows the date and time of the “Trunk or Treat” by the city of Charlestown as well as by the First Baptist Church of Charlestown. Each will be held on the 31st starting at 6:00pm with and ending at 8:00 and 8:30 respectively.

Kids for Christ

Our attendance on Wednesday night for the kids has been very inconsistent. Mrs. Abby has continued to meet with the children every week, but with different ones here each week we have not been able to get into any practices for a stick performance.

We will continue to have activities for your children each Wednesday night during Through the Bible, but for now with no performance date in the near future.
